How it works

Three steps, then it ships.

01

Book

A call, or pick an engagement and pay the deposit. You leave with a price and a start date.

02

Review

Work arrives as a page built for reading. Two working days to react, every time.

03

Receive

Delivery day: the full package, the decision record, and a real ending.

The approach

Projects fail on the machinery, not the design.

“Four weeks. It took nine.”

Plans are laid against what's already booked. You get a later start, never a fictional finish.

“I had to chase them for a status update.”

One link, in every email. It always says what week you're on and whose turn it is.

“A month vanished and nobody could say where.”

The work moves in turns. One side visibly has the ball — including when it's us.

“I wanted to help. Nobody told me how.”

Every handoff says what decision is needed and what feedback is useful right now.

“Then came the invoice for ‘out of scope.’”

Out-of-scope requests get priced in writing, immediately — while saying no is still free.

“Six months later, nobody remembered why.”

Decisions are recorded as they happen and handed over as a document.

Kind words

From kind folks.

Julie is the only designer we've worked with that works like a founder. She doesn't require a vision quest to make good design — she just works fast and gets shit done.

The perfect combination of founder + product designer for any early stage company. She really gets the founder's POV and she's able to produce immaculate UX work!

CC CG ChenFounder, mello (YC S21)

She is unafraid to ask difficult questions and is committed to advocating for design. With a critical eye, she can dream up novel ways of doing the same things.

FAQ

Common questions.

Who actually does the work?

Me. No handoff to a junior after the pitch.

Why “from” prices?

Scope moves the number, so it's quoted on our call and fixed from then on. No meter.

What do you need from me?

Two working days at each review. Take four and the delivery date moves out by two, visibly.

Can you work in our codebase?

Yes — modern React/Next front ends. Several engagements include the build.

How many clients at once?

A couple. That's the whole reason the dates hold.

Do you take equity?

Sometimes, alongside or instead of an invoice. Raise it early.
