Hi! I am Julie!

I have over ten years of experience as a designer. I’ve had the privilege of reaching millions of customers with my designs. I’ve even won some awards!

Currently, I am focused on helping small teams grow. As a freelance designer for various startups, I enjoy high collaboration with teams. Together, we solve design and business goals. Everything from full app redesigns, implementing design systems, to refining in-app branding. 

I graduated from OCAD University in Toronto with a degree in Industrial Design. I have designed for iOS, Android, web, mobile web, tablet and even TV Apps! I earned a certificate in Sustainability Design from Kaospilots in Denmark. 

Previously, I was a design lead for Twitch's Global Payments and Payouts team. Before that, I was co-founder and head of product and design for Revlo, a startup that was acquired by Twitch/Amazon in 2018. I’m active in the startup community as an alumni of Y Combinator (S16), NextCanada and Creative Destruction Labs. I currently invest in YC companies as a Visiting Senior Venture Partner for Pioneer Fund.

In the evenings and weekends you’ll find me: paddlebaording the San Francisco Bay, running trails and learning to knit.
